5Q is Hiring: Account Executive and Developer

5Q is hiringIt isn't often that we advertise new postitions that are available at 5Q.   Thanks to some great clients and strong growth, we are creating two new positions.  Before I launch into our typical job descriptions, you should know that working for 5Q isn't a fit for everyone. Developer/Programmer

Objective

Primary objectives of Developer/Programmer will be front-end and back-end programming for client web sites, internal projects and content management system development and maintenance. Successful candidates are expected to set and maintain the highest programming standards.

Responsibilities

Work responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Front-end and back-end programming for various projects and tasks
  • Continue to create and expand our CMS frameworks
  • Setup and configuration of our CMS frameworks
  • Provide functionality and estimate reviews for projects both before proposals are finalized and during sitemap discussions with clients
  • Fill in for support programming staff when necessary
  • Document processes and procedures in your area of responsibility.
  • Work with Project Lead to continue to refine workflow that will keep all team members accountable.
  • Work with our team to help review and implement best practices throughout the company.
  • Work with existing team to expand and document a web development process that we can apply to all new web sitess


Expectations

  • Adhere to the 5Q standards on assigned projects
  • Work with our team and be a team player
  • Keep up on the trends in web programming and development


Skills Required

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related degree with emphasis on computer programming
  • Demonstrated ability to develop interactive, database driven web sites
  • Required knowledge of: Object Oriented Programming with PHP, Javascript, AJAX, MySQL, XHTML, CSS
  • Desired knowledge of: Django, Python, Modx

Account Executive

Objective:
Primary objective of the Account Executive is to be the initial point of contact for a specific number of clients.  He/she will be ultimately responsible for seeing that the client is satisfied with the service that 5Q provides.  The Account Executive will work with the client and staff to set strategy and see that it is accomplished.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain quality customer and client relationships with the specific clients that are assigned to the account representative.
  • Set the strategy for the client's website, and make sure that the strategy is being implemented, and is effective.
  • Be the "client advocate" for the client to 5Q staff
  • Be the "end user" advocate to both the 5Q staff and the client.
  • Work with the Project Coordinator to assure that the clients and projects are profitable for 5Q.
  • Conduct an annual in-person strategy and review for specific clients.
  • Conduct a quarterly stats review with the client executives for specific clients
  • Conduct a monthly review of projects with the project coordinator.
  • Conduct a monthly review of general stats trends for specific clients
  • Provide the last line of quality control before projects are reviewed by the client.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Possible travel for training or client meetings.
  • Manage contractors and employee relationships to create the best possible website for the client.
  • Assist in modifying or creating internal processes for the company.

Skills Required
  • B.S. in communications or business, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client communications effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate value and make the sale on key services.
  • Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive website strategies.

Chad, are you open to remote contract work for the Developer position? I have several folks/teams that I have worked with in ATL that could do the job.

Hi Chad

Your job opening for Account Executive sounds interesting. Must that person be on-site at your offices or could that person live elsewhere?

What's the salary range your proposing?

Would you accept experience over a college degree?
